“I’m sorry.”<\/p>\n

That’s really hard for some people to say.
\n(Almost as hard as….Worcestershire<\/a> sauce!)<\/p>\n

But it might not be enough for a professional situation.
\nHow can you say ‘sorry’ and sound genuine, yet professional?<\/p>\n

As an English coach, I am passionate about helping\u00a0my clients develop a Word Wardrobe, so that they always have enough choices when it comes to finding the most appropriate phrase or word. If you only have ‘I’m sorry’ in your (written AND spoken) Word Wardrobe, you will see that it doesn’t always work.<\/p>\n

So let’s add some choices!<\/p>\n

“I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused.”
\n“I truly regret that this happened.”
\n“On behalf of my entire team, I’d like to extend our apologies.”
\n“My apologies for the inconvenience.”
\n“This happened on my watch, and I take full responsibility.”
\n“My team is working hard to rectify the situation as quickly as possible.”
\n“Thank you for your valuable feedback. I will discuss this with those involved and get back to you on how this will be resolved as\u00a0soon as possible.”<\/p>\n

So….do you see now how ‘I’m sorry’ just doesn’t cut it all the time?
