CAN YOU D.I.G. it, darling?
\nYes, you can.<\/p>\n

I start and end the year with my clients using my\u00a0very own\u00a0D.I.G. Method\u00a9<\/strong>.
\nIt\u2019s simple, and it might just be a game-changer for you.\u00a0Here it is:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Make a list of all the things you\u2019re not good at. Don\u2019t be shy \u2013 let it rip. Make a looooong list. What do you suck at? What do you find challenging? What do you hate doing because it\u2019s too hard?\u00a0Write like no one is reading.<\/li>\n
  2. Wait 3 minutes. Then go back to your list and look at it with fresh eyes. This is what you have been beating yourself up about for ages.\u00a0For each item you see on that list, you can do 3 things: 1.\u00a0D<\/strong>elegate it to someone else 2.\u00a0I<\/strong>mprove it with strategies, if it will contribute to a meaningful life 3. G<\/strong>racefully let it go, if it doesn\u2019t contribute to a meaningful life.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    That\u2019s it.
    \nHere\u2019s my list.\u00a0I was smart enough to build an amazing\u00a0career around the few things that I\u2019m\u00a0excellent\u00a0at and\u00a0deeply\u00a0passionate about.\u00a0There\u00a0are hundreds of things that I suck at.\u00a0For example\u2026.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • I cannot parallel park<\/li>\n
    • I do not know how to work in Excel<\/li>\n
    • I cannot read a map<\/li>\n
    • I cannot flip an omelette\u00a0(or a pancake)<\/li>\n
    • I make typos and have to Google new words<\/li>\n
    • etc, etc, etc. (Oh, I could go on for hours.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      This is how I applied my\u00a0D.I.G. Method\u00a9<\/strong>\u00a0to myself:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • I don\u2019t need to learn how to parallel park. Having this skill will not make my life more meaningful. Just convenient. I\u00a0G<\/strong>racefully let it go. I always drive to a parking garage and walk to my appointment. This means extra exercise.\u00a0It\u2019s just how I live now, and I wouldn\u2019t have it any other way.<\/li>\n
      • I have a super-smart team around me that puts my info into Excel for me (I\u00a0D<\/strong>elegated). They get to do what they are good at \u2013 organizing my life \u2013 and everybody wins.<\/li>\n
      • Not being able to read a map means I get to talk to attractive strangers on the street who show me where I need to go. Sometimes they walk with me and we become friends. Once I had a police escort. This lack of map-reading skills has really made my life kind of awesome. (I\u00a0G<\/strong>racefully let it go.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
