This is a direct translation of the Dutch phrase ‘Ik hoop u voldoende ge\u00efnformeerd te hebben.’ This works beautifully in Dutch. It’s normal, professional, expected, and functional.
\nBut guess what?
\nEnglish people don’t speak Dutch. (Most of them.)
\nThey see this phrase and they’re like….”Say what?”
\nSo let’s make it better.
\nYou want to keep the door of communication open. Because if someone (god forbid!) DOES need more information, you’ve just kind of told them that you’re done helping them.
