NEWS<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was honored to be profiled in het Parool<\/strong> \u2013 now I can say I\u2019m officially a centerfold \ud83d\ude09 \u2013 check it hier<\/a> (in Dutch)<\/p>\n

NL Tracks<\/strong> made a short film about our infamous (Do you know what that means? If not, look it up on www.dictionary.com<\/a>!) \u2018In Bed With Buffi\u2019 coaching session at the fabulous Lloyd Hotel in Amsterdam. Check it hier<\/a><\/p>\n

I had a great talk with Yes-R<\/strong> about his future plans for Rocking his English \u2013 watch this space – exciting things are coming!<\/p>\n

I also chaired auditions at the Rockacademie<\/strong>, and did a Master Class day at the Academie voor Popcultuur in Leeuwarden<\/strong> and had my last lesson of the year at Design Academy Eindhoven<\/strong>. Busy week, but hey, aren\u2019t they all? If you love what you do, you\u2019ll never work a day in your life! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Bad Grammar Can Kill!<\/strong><\/p>\n

There\u2019s a big difference between the Present Perfect (I have gone, for example) and the Past Simple (I went).\u00a0 If you say \u2018I\u2019ve never<\/strong> met my uncle\u2019, then maybe he lives far away, but you can still meet him. If you say \u2018I never met<\/strong> my uncle\u2019, chances are he\u2019s dead and you won\u2019t ever meet him again! Watch your grammar!<\/p>\n

Your questions<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Hey, Buffi, what\u2019s the difference between \u2018looking forward to\u2019 and \u2018look forward to\u2019?<\/em> \u2013 a kind follower on Twitter.<\/p>\n

Actually, they both mean the same thing, but there is a slight difference in the tone. \u2018looking forward\u2019 sounds slightly more informal and friendly, whereas \u2018look forward\u2019 (normally used as \u2018I look forward to\u2026\u2019) sounds slightly more formal. However (STOP! GRAMMAR TIME!), you have to use a verb + ing AFTER the \u2018to\u2019, every time! This is because it\u2019s a prepositional object. The reason is not so important, what is important is that you do NOT say \u2018I am looking forward to meet you\u2019 because then the Grammar Police will come and get you! Please say \u2018I am looking forward to meeting you\u2019 and the Grammar Police will leave you alone.<\/p>\n
