WRITE IT RIGHT! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s one thing you’re doing in your emails which most likely sets the wrong tone <\/strong>with your international clients. You can do better. I see it all the time, and it’s a rough translation of the typical Dutch way<\/strong> of ending an email.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘I hope I have informed you enough.’ <\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This might work in Dutch culture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But not when you’re navigating international waters<\/strong>. I’ll tell you why. This line tells your reader that you are pretty much done with them<\/strong>. That you hope it’s enough information. Done and dusted. Door closed. Buh-bye! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if it’s not?<\/strong> What if your reader still has a question? How are they going to feel<\/strong>, knowing that you are done with them? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will feel less than lovely,<\/strong> I assure you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please keep that door of communication open. <\/strong>At all times!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some better options: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Should you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate tp contact me.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018If there\u2019s anything else you require, don\u2019t hesitate to reach out.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Happy to answer any questions as they arise.\u2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ah, nice! Communication door back open.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This one change lets your reader know that you are still there for them and encourages them to stay in communication<\/strong> with you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Communication is all about connection. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So keep that door open!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
