Hey, you know how they came up with the word \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/email.elephantcs.nl\/t\/r-l-ptyzg-wtttrlhhi-e\/\">spam<\/a>\u2019, don\u2019t you? Way back in 1937 \u2013 we all remember that moment, right?<\/p>\n<p><strong>MY FATHER IS CRAZY AND WE MADE THIS JUST FOR YOU<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My father has been a stranger to shame for nearly 74 amazing years.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/email.elephantcs.nl\/t\/r-l-ptyzg-wtttrlhhi-s\/\">Just watch and see<\/a>. See how traumatized I get just to save your ass?<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT\u2019S UP IN BUFFILAND<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s full of music these days! I\u2019m nearly done with the new Epica (<a href=\"http:\/\/email.elephantcs.nl\/t\/r-l-ptyzg-wtttrlhhi-g\/\">www.epica.nl<\/a>)\u00a0 album \u2013 and wow, it\u2019s going to be amazing! I\u2019m also looking forward to the new\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/email.elephantcs.nl\/t\/r-l-ptyzg-wtttrlhhi-w\/\">Within Temptation<\/a>\u00a0album and their world tour \u2013 starting February 20th! -Be sure to check them out live if they come to your country! Chances are they will \u2013 they\u2019re just about everywhere! \u263a And my Songwriting colleague at the Rockacademie, Ton Engels, has a great side project called Mr Inglish. Check out a review\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/email.elephantcs.nl\/t\/r-l-ptyzg-wtttrlhhi-yd\/\">hier<\/a>. He actually wrote a song based on my Facebook updates. What a surprise it was to hear that song! It\u2019s called \u2018The BDFB Song\u2019. \u263a<\/p>\n<p><strong>BRITISH VS AMERICAN SLANG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How are you at recognizing British or American slang? I\u2019d be chuffed to bits if your ba-donk-a-donk self knew the difference!\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/email.elephantcs.nl\/t\/r-l-ptyzg-wtttrlhhi-yh\/\">Try this at home<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>YOUR QUESTIONS \u2013 ANSWERED!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHey, Buffi, I know there\u2019s a difference between the blown and the buzzed TH sound, but how do I know which one to use for a new word?\u201d\u00a0<\/em>\u2013 from K, during a session.<\/p>\n<p>Great question! I get asked this a lot. First of all, if you want to improve your TH sound watch my short video on it\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/email.elephantcs.nl\/t\/r-l-ptyzg-wtttrlhhi-yk\/\">hier<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And if you have a new English word and don\u2019t know which TH sound to use, type the word into<a href=\"http:\/\/email.elephantcs.nl\/t\/r-l-ptyzg-wtttrlhhi-yu\/\">www.dictionary.com<\/a>. Then click on \u2018Show IPA\u2019. (IPA is the International Phonetic Alphabet. It shows how you pronounce something using symbols. Every sound has its own symbol. Cool, right?) If you then see something that looks like an egg with a line through it &#8211; \u03b8, that\u2019s a blown TH. If you see something that looks like a ring &#8211; \u00f0 (which I always referred to as a \u2018tomato wearing a little hat\u2019 but then my client Thierry said \u2018Nah, that just looks like a ring\u2019 and then I realized I was waaaay too creative for my own good\u2026..), then you know it\u2019s a buzzed TH.
