Hello my dear and HAPPY MONDAY!! (Obviously I\u2019m very caffeinated.) How\u2019s your day going? Hope it\u2019s full of lovely surprises! I\u2019m so looking forward to lunch today, I\u2019ve heard about this\u00a0new kind of cherry<\/a>\u00a0and I can\u2019t wait to try one!<\/p>\n

We did it!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last week (on Websday of course) I launched my second Webinar on formal, semi-formal, and informal English. It was so great to connect with so many people from all over the place and answer their questions! Thank you for joining me on the next step in your English-learning adventure! I\u2019ll be doing another one after the summer \u2013 keep you posted!<\/p>\n

What\u2019s up in Buffiland<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been evaluating graduation portfolios (nearly done!), went to the One Direction concert TWICE (to drop off my daughter AND pick her up \u2013 OMG!!), training fabulous DJs for 3FM, had a great in-company training course for some awesome CEO\u2019s in Amersfoort, worked on the new\u00a0Lorrainville<\/a>\u00a0album, and chaired auditions at the Rockacademie for drums, armed with my weapons of mass obstruction ;).<\/p>\n

You\u2019re wearing what where?!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just the other day I got an email from someone who asked \u2018Wear can I buy your book?\u2019 \u2013 I wanted to make a video about this mistake- \u2018wear\u2019 vs \u2018where\u2019, but then I realized that I already had!\u00a0Here\u2019s a flashback video<\/a>, featuring my dad, who\u2019s a pretty colorful guy. Hope this helps you out! (In any case, it\u2019s fun to watch because he\u2019s wearing a wig that Anneke van Giersbergen gave me.)<\/p>\n

Idioms \u2013 not for idiots!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a fun list of idioms in English<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 how many do you know? How many have you used today? This week? This month? Remember, it\u2019s use it or lose it, people! Check it out and get active! Try to work 1 or 2 into your next English conversation!<\/p>\n

All good things come to an end<\/strong><\/p>\n

Like soccer matches. And love bites. And bad, bad spelling (hopefully that will end one day, but for some reason I kind of doubt it). I\u2019m off to twist untwisted minds, but until we meet again, I\u2019m sending you a huge park filled with flowy, sun-dappled trees, your favorite band doing a solar-powered set, all your friends and family (the\u00a0nice<\/em>\u00a0people in your family, not your nasty Uncle Jim), and a huge picnic blanket full of your favorite foods\u2026and not an ant to be seen (except for Aunt Mary \u2013 she\u2019s the bomb!)\u2026in my head.<\/p>\n
