I’m turning 51 on August 28th.
\nI am really excited!
\nIn English, we have the expression ‘Age only matters if you are a cheese or a wine.’
\nThe last time I checked, I was neither!
\nSo many people fear getting old.
\nBut not me, I am proud to be 51! I have honestly never felt better about myself or my life.
\nAnd I am thrilled that I have been given the chance to live this long. So many wonderful people did not make it this far.
\nEvery day is a gift.
\nAnd that’s where you come in.
\nTo help me with a list of 51 good deeds for people and our planet that I can do as part of my birthday celebration!
\nIt’s a list of 51derful things!
\nI have already started, based on suggestions I have received on my social media platforms when I posted my idea a few days ago.<\/p>\n

I picked up 51 pieces of trash at Lowlands. After seeing this photo, others started doing the same!<\/p>\n

I also made a motivational video for new English students, sent a personal card to someone having a hard time, got in touch with charities, and more.
\nThere is still some space for more ideas.
\nWhat’s yours?<\/p>\n
Here are some things on my list so far – just to give you an idea about what’s happening in Buffiland these days….
\n*go vegan for a week
\n*plant a tree
\n*clean up 51 cm of my garden
\n*leave a book on a train for a stranger
\n*organize another free hug day (details coming soon!)
\n*send my ebook to a nursing home so that the residents can learn English on their Ipads
\n*volunteer at a charity for a day
\n*share a budget recipe
\n*share a meal with a stranger
\n*take my own coffee cup with me
\n*take my own water bottle with me
\n* bake a cake for someone
\n*do a free English lesson online
\netc, etc…<\/p>\n
So, my dear, what is missing from this list? You tell me. New suggestions come in every day!
