IT!!
I cannot believe it.
I started out on the Jinek TV show.
There I shared my fears and my dreams for my country.
And my nails.
Then I came home at 1.30 am, and stayed up for 40 hours watching CNN. I felt ALL the feelings.
It kind of went like this….
And then I started feeling optimistic….
And then. It happened.
It. HAPPENED!!
5 years of ugly tears came out when I got the news (in the frozen food section of my supermarket, of all places!).
And then, yesterday, I rolled over and asked my husband ‘Hoe gaat het, schat?’ and he said ‘Het is goed met ons Biden.’
And then the tears come again with the realization that it was not a dream.
It happened.
It’s real.
It’s historical.
And now the healing starts.
For all of us.
My fervent wish is that the Divided States will become the United States once again.
I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
