An attitude of gratitude

This Thursday, many people in the States will gather around the table with their loved ones and celebrate Thanksgiving. Hopefully their thanks will be just as bountiful as their meals, and they will be wearing clothes with elastic waistbands. (Many zippers break during this meal… #funfact.)

For me, every day holds an attitude of gratitude.
It started when I was about 7 years old and diagnosed with a chronic disease.
I was so happy that every day I got a new chance thanks to new medicine and a specialized medical team.

This feeling of ‘Yeah! One more day!’ has only grown as I hit middle age.
I’m so deeply appreciative of my life and the people in it.
I know my days here are limited, and I am deeply grateful for every moment of joy I can find.

Here are some big and small things that truly brighten my life:

*having a strong coffee while looking out the window
*dancing in my kitchen while baking bread
*spending time with my beloved family (and boy did we have a lot to celebrate last week!)
*laughing with my friends about the stupidest things
*serving my clients in exceeding their communication goals, and reading LinkedIn posts like this one ⤵️

…and so much more.

What are you grateful for today? The smallest things can bring so much joy.
Find it, cherish it, celebrate it, and share it.
Giving a compliment to someone else could be the greatest gift they receive this month.
Don’t hold back.

Sip slowly from the golden goblet of gratitude.
Today and every day.
It’s so delicious, and like so many other things, it tastes even better when shared.

With love and gratitude,

Buffi
