WHAT DO YOU CALL A CHEESE THAT’S NOT YOURS?

Wait for it…dear…wait for it….
NACHO CHEESE! (Say it out loud, maybe a few times, if you didn’t get it.)

WHAT’S UP IN BUFFILAND
How are you my dear? I hope this finds you well. What have you been up to? I’ve been having a whale of a time in Buffiland! Last week was pretty busy there – I finished up a couple of albums from some awesomely talented artists, continued editing a fantastic vegan cookbook, ran 5 km, meditated every day, corrected graduation portfolios, cheered on my super student as he rocked the stage at The Voice of Holland (and got a standing ovation!), took a vegan cooking course, told my kids to stop filming me when I’m dancing around the kitchen in my pajamas doing my new dance move I invented called ‘The Robot Twerk’, and drank wine in front of the fire, and and yes, I nearly caught my hair on fire (more than once). How was your week last week?

YOU ROCK!
A big shout-out to those of you who took advantage of my Early Bird Discount on my new Business English Communication course! Thank you so much! If you haven’t signed up, you still can. I designed this course because I’ve seen the results of my coaching with CEOs. My client, Janneke Niessen, who has endorsed this course, just won Entrepreneur of the Year! (I’m so proud of her!) I want to help as many people as possible feel comfortable and confident when it comes to writing better emails, giving more powerful presentations, and using business idioms like a native (and more!). The course is convenient – you can learn on any device, at any time, as often as you like. I am positive that you will feel better about your English by December 22, when the course ends. That’s my promise to you. What’s your promise to yourself?
Remember – my free master class on pronunciation is my gift to you, at no obligation whatsoever. Grab yours at www.businessenglishcommunication.com.

HAVE YOU LAUGHED REALLY HARD TODAY?

HE’S MULTILINGUAL AND I THINK THAT’S MULTIAWESOME.
Check out Frans. He rocks!

YOUR QUESTIONS- ANSWERED!
“Hey, Buffi, what’s the difference between ‘holiday’ and ‘vacation’? Don’t they mean the same thing?” – from Ton.

Yes, Ton, I understand your confusion. You might hear people talking about ‘going on vacation’ and others might say ‘going on holiday’ – it is confusing indeed! The only difference is that ‘vacation’ is American English, and ‘holiday’ is British English. That’s about it. You can say ‘to go on’ or ‘to be on’ for both, and a ‘vacation home’ in the States is a ‘holiday home’ in the UK. Hope that helps you out….and speaking of vacation….I’m looking forward to a short one this weekend! But no worries, I’ll still be popping into your mailbox on Monday at noon to let you know once again how fabulous you are! (You are, you really are. Don’t forget!)

GOTTA DASH…
….because I have untwisted minds to twist, unwritten books to write, unmade beds to make (actually I’d much rather have my day made than my bed made!) and unsung songs to sing.
Sending you a football team made up of 11 of your favorite people playing against 11 more of your favorite people and after 5 minutes of warming up you all decide to go out for mojitos….in my head.
