TIP THE SCALES
Hello dear! How are you on this fine, fine Monday? I’m really excited. And happy. And a little bit nervous. Today we launch something I’ve been working so hard on for months – my new Business English Course!
Have you ever really wanted to do something but your fear held you back? I’ve been there. I know what that feels like. There were a lot of things I dreamed of sharing with the world but I was held back. I thought I wasn’t good enough; I thought people wouldn’t get it; I thought it wouldn’t turn out the way I wanted it to.
However, something changed for me a while ago. I was thinking about the scales of justice. You know, that lovely blind lady who stands on buildings? Think of your fear on one side of the scale, and your drive/ambition/desire to accomplish your goal on the other side of that scale. When your fear is greater, it will always win. You’ll never accomplish anything because you’re afraid it will fail. You’re afraid of what others will think. You’re just afraid. However, when your drive, your ambition, your burning desire to accomplish what you feel (wait…NEED!) to accomplish is greater than your fear, then there’s no stopping you. At all. At one point that fear will just magically disappear. I can honestly say that that has happened to me, and it’s a wonderful feeling knowing that you can truly accomplish anything without fear holding you back. I feel so liberated! Try it.
I so wish that for you dear. Tip the scales today in your favor. Go out there and know, deep in your heart, that fear doesn’t need to hold you back anymore.
