Life is short. Make it deep.

Hi!

I’m writing you on the tails of the hardest day for me.
September 11th.
I remember exactly where I was when I got the call about my beloved city.
And the beloved people who I lost that day.

All I can say to you is this.
We have no say in how long our lives are.
Nobody knows how much time we actually have here on this planet, in this life.

But you have so much say in how you spend that time.
Go deep.
Make connections.
Create relationships and things with meaning.
Start a ripple effect today that will have an impact for ages to come.
Do. Not. Wait.

It all starts with you.
After 9/11 I started wearing a flower in my hair, to celebrate each day.
My clothes got even more colourful.
I hooked deeper into gratitude.
I was determined to spread joy and optimism wherever and however I could.

This enormous tragedy made me embrace every day even tighter, squeezing out the inspiration, the lessons, and the beauty of each and every day. Good to the last drop.

Life is short.
Make it deep.

With love,
Buffi

PS: I was on the Jinek show talking about 9/11 last week. If you missed it, you can see a bit of it here.

PPS: Here is me just a couple of weeks ago, at the 9/11 Memorial, honoring Mark and Dave.
