I’ve been working on the Epica album, I did a Master Class for songwriters in Leeuwarden, admiring the great reviews of Tim Knol’s new album, enjoying my Belgian clients Amoy Famray’s great debut “The Mind of Man”, did a Master Class in pepernoten and presentations for some special 8 year olds, coached for The Voice of Vlaanderen, saw my sweet “30 Ways to Save Your Ass” at lots of bookstores (hint hint wink wink), got Apple TV (my couch has never been so crowded), wrote exams, corrected exams, missed Berlin, started sketches for my third book, and hid some presents. How was your week?

“Hi Buffi, why is it “That looks easy” but “I can do it easily?” – From my Master Class last week (the one in Leeuwarden, not for the 8 year olds).

When we describe a verb, we use an adverb. This is a word that usually ends in “ly” (quickly, slowly, easily, etc). However, not all verbs have action. If you have a non-active verb (described in Chapter 1 of my first book “Rock Your English!”) such as feel, seem, appear, and a few others, then you don’t need the adverb form but the adjective form. Crazy, right? That’s why we say “Shelooked at him angrily” but “She looked angry.” Hope that helps!
