‘Ninja…letters? What’s that?!’
That’s my new name for letters that you can SEE but not HEAR in English. They are silent, and sneaky. Just like ninjas!
A HANDY NINJA LIST: keep these in mind, and keep your mouth safe! 👄
NINJA B:(the B is silent)
lamb, thumb, numb, crumb, climb
N|INJA K:(the K is silent)
knock, knack, knob, knuckle, knife, knee
N|NJA T: (the T is silent)
Christmas, listen, match, witch, glisten, castle
NINJA H: (the H is silent)
rhythm, what, honest, hour, ghost, whether
So, the next time these letters sneak up on you, just acknowledge them with your eyes but NOT WITH YOUR MOUTH!!
