The Zin Is In!

Meet my new pet Samantha. She’s lovely. And supports me in so many ways. Spent a lot of time with her on vacation…but enough about me! How have you been, my dear? I hope you’ve had a lovely summer so far! I’m back after nearly a month in California and Oregon; It was a great mix of family, friends, shopping,  sharing a Beverly Hills stoplight with Cindy Crawford (her hair was flawless and she smiled and waved), having dinner in San Francisco with Michael Jackson’s brother (sorry, don’t know which one, and hey, we only shared a café, but it makes a great story), seeing breathtaking nature, eating amazing food, laughing till I was crying, and crying when I had to leave my delicious LA family behind- but hey, I’m back and so excited to share some news with you!

1. I was featured in the Volkskrant last Friday. I talked about my passion for education, refugees, and what the worst expression in Dutch is (to me – seriously, this word really sounds…dirty). You can read the full article here.

2. I will be making history in the World’s Largest And Coolest English Lesson….at Lowlands! Woohoo! I’ve been working on this for 2 years, and I cannot believe it’s finally happening! You can join me in the Bravo Tent on Saturday, August 20th at 1 pm – I’ll have a classroom of 10,000! Find out more about it here. Hope to see you then!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to conquer my jetlag, memorise a 23-page script, and see if I still fit into my Lowlands costume….wish me luck!
