Rock Your English! newsletter

Yo! You so rock! Thank you so much for letting me slip into your inbox today- I hope to leave it with some fun tips and tricks for you!

And there are so many people from all over the world who read this newsletter every week, I’d like to salute you all!

WHAT’S UP IN BUFFILAND

Oh, oh, oh, sweet, what a week it’s been!

Last week we launched the crowdfunding for my new book “30 Ways To Save Your Ass In English!”. You can invest in the book now and get it before it appears in the stores (and cheaper!), and not only that, you can also invest in a holiday present for your company, or a tailor-made in-company course, workshop or Master Class! I’d love your support in helping me make my dream come true! Click here for the scoop, and thank you so much for your support.

I also had my “Summer Lovin” workshop at Boom Chicago on Saturday. It was a blast, and there were people from Italy, Ukraine, Austria (Ralph, thank you again for flying in!), Holland, and The Philippines. We worked on Business English and lots of other stuff, and it was one big party (you know the kind of party, where people talk about grammar, right? Those are the BEST!) for me. I even baked brownies for everyone!

FAB WEBSITE

As you know, darling, I am always on the lookout for cool new sites and apps that will make learning English even more exciting for you! No mountain is too high, and no valley is too low. That’s how much I love you. I came across a great one called www.rhymezone.com. It’s an excellent way to find words that rhyme when you’re working on a poem, lyric, rap….or….Sinterklaas is just around the corner! Check it out and let me know what you think! And, of course, you know about my favorite, right? www.thesaurus.com? It’s an excellent resourse that will add color to your vocabulary, as it’s a synonym dictionary. Try it and see what happens!

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED!

“Hey Buffi, don’t be angry on me, but I have a question….” F, via email (info@rockyourenglish.com).

Darling. I could never be angry on you. Never. Ever. Know why? Because it doesn’t exist in English! I can be angry AT you, angry WITH you (this is basically the same as AT but sounds a bit nicer), or angry ABOUT a situation. But angry ON you? Oh, never, my darling. Now…um….what was your question? 😉

HATE TO LOVE YOU AND LEAVE YOU BUT…

I have to take my son to drum lessons.

Sending you a lovely chair next to a lake filled with swans swimming into the sunset, and then Brad Pitt brings you a cocktail and then George Clooney feeds you grapes, and then…oh…wait. This is all in my head….better keep the rest there.

Have a lovely day, sweet, and thank you for letting me slip into your inbox today!
